Solved (Fiji) Pte Limited (Solved Fiji) is excited to advise that our new technology providing climate resilient and renewable drinking water to Fiji – “Fiji’s First Hydropanel’s”. Fijian COP23 High-Level Champion Hon. Inia Seruiratu promoted this to COP23 CAPP 2 workshop two weeks ago.

This new technology initiative providing climate resilient and renewable drinking water installations have been completed at the Health Clinics at Yavusania Village and Koroipita. Solved Fiji have self-funded these two important projects to fast-track delivering these capabilities and have made it available initially for schools rebuilt after TC Winston which are also used as Evacuation Centres, Villages with no water on the outer islands and the interior, and Village health clinics.

The Hydropanels are an off-grid, solar-powered technology which extracts water vapour from the air into a proprietary absorbent material. The water flows into a reservoir where it is mineralized with calcium and magnesium for health and taste benefits. Each hydropanel displaces up to 50,000 standard PET bottles, providing high-quality drinking water and eliminating plastic pollution.

This technology has been recognised as one of the Top 10 Emerging Technologies of 2017 by the World Economic Forum and provides the much-needed capabilities to deliver on this basic human right.
